I'II be honest when saying Green Lantern is one of my favourite characters of all time and was one of the main reasons I began collecting comics many many years ago.
How cool to be able to have a ring that can create anything with it's only limitation that of your imagination and all of this fuelled by will power. Being part of an intergalactic police force and limitless adventures in space proved to be irristable to me as a child and still captivates me as a 30 something. That being said, I did find them a little frustrating in terms of consistency and just down right weirdness. Why did Hal Jordan come back in the 90's with grey patches? Why did the ring never work against yellow? All of these questions and so many more where answered when Geoff Johns took over Green Lantern in 2004 and we highly recommend it as a place to start.
